Shilajit supplement are generally very well tolerated by most people, and there is little to no evidence to suggest otherwise. It is considered to be safe in general. 

In rare cases, some users may experience very mild side effects such as Nausea and stomach irritation. 

There is also a chance that the production of the Shilajit may cause there to be contamination by fungus or bacteria. Similarly, it may contain a high content of heavy metals which can cause sickness, nausea and general illness with chronic use.

At the moment, Shilajit in the UK does not require registration with the FSA, so there is little in the way of regulation for Shilajit supplements that you can buy online. There may be some Shilajit supplements that are of extremely dubious quality, so be  vigilant. 

An Allergy to these supplements, while very rare, is possible. If you are prone to allergic reactions to other substances you should take this one with care. 

On the whole, yes, Pure Shilajit is safe to take every day. In rodent studies [source] even a significant dose of Pure Shilajit every day did not seem to have adverse effects. We aren’t rats, so the results may well be different in humans (although unlikely). 

Shilajit has been used tfor thousands of years, so it is quite safe to assume that it is safe to take Shilajit daily. We do however, recommend not taking more than the recommended daily intake, and we suggest a 2 week break after each 4 month course. 

Do not take Shilajit if you suffer from sickle cell anemia, thalassemia or hemochromatosis. The iron content within the Shilajit can cause there to be too much iron in the blood. You should stop use immediately if you experience dizziness, a rash or increased heart rate. when taking a Shilajit supplement. 

Also, if you are pregnant or breast feeding, it is not advised that you take Shilajit. 

If you are on medication for low blood pressure, Shilajit may lower blood pressure further. Please speak to a medical professional before taking any shilajit supplement.
