These are the days when daily nutrition and supplementation have never been easier. A daily scoop is more than enough to cover every corner of your well-being, performance and recovery.

Even if you’re not currently pushing your body and mind to their limits, these greens are the first step to committing to a better, healthier, more active lifestyle.

One of the main problems we have tried to solve with our greens is the potency of multiple brands that create greens blends whose sole constituents are vegetable, fruit and algae powders. This wasn’t enough for us, and we wanted something to cover our own very active lifestyles.

Our daily greens contain 24 added active ingredients, each of which has been carefully dosed and curated. When you leave the house with your greens, you know your body has everything it needs to help your muscles, brain, gut and immune system thrive, regardless of your environment.

Adaptogens

Adaptogens, natural herbs or roots, aid the body in stress adaptation. They regulate stress hormones, promoting balance and enhancing well-being against stress-related fatigue.

The adaptogens themselves contain high concentrations of complex biologically active compounds which affect our bodies in ways that aren’t yet fully understood. For instance, the Rhodiola Rosea root is known to affect the hypothalamic-pituitary gland in the brain (specifically the adrenal axis) [source] and therefore lower levels of stress.

Strangely it also has an impact on the levels of glucose in the blood, lactate, nitric oxide and cortisol levels, as well as affecting plasma lipids and hepatic enzymes.

Our tailored Adaptogens include:

  • Cordyceps  – A medicinal mushroom which may improve VO2 Max & Lung Capacity.
  • Reishi – A medicinal mushroom which may support healthy immune function.
  • Guarana – A berry extract which may increase focus & cognitive function
  • Bocopa Monnieri – A root extract which may increase focus & cognitive function

COGNITIVE FUNCTION AND NEUROPROTECTIVE

The most powerful organ in the body is the brain- and it should be protected at all costs.

Everything we do is controlled here and overlooking the health of our brains will have a downstream impact on our physical well-being too.  Our greens have been boosted with added ingredients to keep our brains sharp, heathy and protected against degeneration.

Lions Mane (150mgs)

Lion’s Mane, a mushroom found on hardwoods, is said to have enormous benefits for cognitive function, working memory, and neuro-regenerative and protective potential [source]. The main active compounds are Hericenones and Erinacines which have undergone extensive study, and found to be part of helping our brain grow, recover and improve.

Our daily greens has been boosted with 150mgs of Lions Mane per dose – this can be supplemented with an additional Nootropic supplement.

Magnesium L- Theronate (500mgs)

Magnesium is an essential mineral that is essential for thousands of biochemical reactions in the body. It’s used in healthy nerve and muscle function, heart, bone and immune system health, alongside cognitive function and protection. There is more! It also aids in the production of energy and protein synthesis. Athletes need at least 20% more than the average person too.

Magnesium L-Theronate is a magnesium compound which has been combined with an amino acid to be able to cross the blood-brain barrier much easier than any other Magnesium compounds.

If we top up Magnesium levels, we can dramatically improve focus and support brain health and development [source].

Our daily greens contain 133% of the recommended daily dose of Magneisum L-Theronate.

Iron (3g – 37%)

Iron is another essential mineral which is involved in the production of haemoglobin (which transports oxygen around the body) and plays a key role in mood regulation.

A deficiency of Iron can cause a myriad of problems; lack of focus, poor mood and feelings of irritability and extreme fatigue.

Our daily greens contains 3g of Iron from our base greens mix 37% per cent of your daily Iron intake.

VITAMINS B12 AND B6

B vitamins are not only essential for metabolic energy levels, but studies have linked them to being of benefit to cognitive function too. The research found that B vitamins may help with mild cognitive impairment (brain fog, slow working memory) and could slow brain atrophy.

Our greens contains an added 40,000% of your vitamin B12 and 100% of your B6.

GURANA AND BACOPA MONNIERI

Gurana, and Bacopa Monnieri are adaptogens which support cognitive ease and function. Guarana has been studied and may help to improve focus and learning, while Bocopa Monnieri is showing huge neuro-pharmaceutical potential [Source], potentially, offering improvement to focus, brain function and brain longevity.

Our greens have 150mgs of Bacopa Monnieri and 100mgs of Gurana.

Immune System Support

It goes without saying, without our immune systems we simply couldn’t be here. The oldest battle of time is between microscopic organisms that wish to make our bodies their home – which often has catastrophic consequences for our health.

Thankfully, our Immune System is an unimaginably complex network of moving parts which is designed to protect us against invading microbes and viruses. We just need to keep it sustained, the best way we can.

The immune system is particularly important to prevent any pesky illness which will hamper your performance, and recovery from a day of activity.

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant which plays a key role in our body’s ability to defend itself. It is most known for protecting our immune cells from becoming damaged and enables them to function correctly (extremely important when it comes to the immune system). You do not need to go far to find studies which show how effective Vitamin C is for supporting our Immune System.

Our Ultimate greens contains Acerola Cherry [source]  which is a natural source of complex vitamin C.

VITAMIN D3

In recent years, the effects of vitamin D deficiency is only starting to come into the focus of nutrition experts and medical professionals. It seems that those deficient in D vitamins are significantly more susceptible to illness and infection [source]. The why is quite complicated, but it seems that Vitamin D plays many more roles than simply calcification of bones, and may help to regulate the immune system and support homeostasis.

Regardless, the outcome is that there is a clear link between vitamin D deficiency, and being more susceptible to infections.

Our daily greens are naturally rich in Vitamin D, and we have added 500% of your recommended daily.

VITAMIN A & E

Another antioxidant, a deficiency in vitamin A may increase the risk of infection and illness. Vitamin E, supports our bodies ability to defend itself by supporting T cell growth. T-Cells is the immune systems signalling system which identifies a potential threat and sets the immune system into action.

Rest assured, our greens are naturally rich in Vitamin A and Vitamin E.

REISHI & TURKEY TAIL

Each are highly regarded medicinal mushroom which are linked with potential Immune system supporting qualities.

Reishi, in some limited studies, has been found to have a potential effect on white blood cells and may support the function of Lymphocytes (for those who are sick, and atheltes exposed to extreme levels of stress during performance).

Turkey Tail, is a fungi specifically picked our for its potential as an immune booster. It is naturally high in two Polysaccharopeptides called Krestin (PSK) and Polysaccharide Peptide (PSP), which play a role in boosting white blood cells among other immune-boosting benefits.

Our Greens Powder contains 150mgs of each.

IRON

Adequate iron intake is essential for supporting the proper functioning of your immune system.

As we mention earlier, Iron plays a pivotal role in the production of hemoglobin, a key component of red blood cells that carries oxygen to immune cells. Insufficient iron levels can hinder this process, compromising the effectiveness of your immune system’s response to pathogens.

Our greens contain 37% of your daily recommended intake.

GLUTATHIONE

Glutathione is an extremely powerful antioxidant that is found in every cell in the body. It plays a myriad of roles, but most saliently here, it is part of supporting the immune function and regenerating vitamin C and Vitamin E.

Glutathione is an extremely powerful ingredient in our greens powder and it contains 125mgs of the antioxidant per serving.

Muscle Performance & Recovery

Muscle performance and recovery should not only be of interest to athletes, but all of us. There is a clear connection between muscle strength and density, with healthspan and longevity (quality and length of life). More saliently as we age.

It’s also important to note that we all should be doing a meaningful amount of physical activity per week (if not every day), regardless of our age. The evidence is clear that exercise, physical fitness and muscle strength have more beneficial outcomes than any supplement will.

The better our muscles perform and the quicker they recover, surely that means significantly better quality of life, health and longevity.

MAGNESIUM

One of Magnesium’s key role in the body is supporting muscle health and performance. A deficiency in Magnesium could cause muscle fatigue and increase the accumulation of lactate in the muscles – which isn’t ideal for endurance or performance. A lack of Magnesium will increase the likelihood of cramping too, which will undoubtedly increase the likelihood of injury.

Magnesium is similarly essential within the formation of ATP, which is a molecule used for energy storage and regulating muscle cell processing. This means you can go harder, for longer.

VITAMIN D

Getting enough Vitamin D can be a challenge in plant-based diets and in the UK generally (grey skies are the enemy of vitamin D). So it is unsurprising that deficiencies being quite prevalent here.

Inadequate levels of VitD have been associated with muscle fatigue and a higher body fat percentage. However, restoring proper Vitamin D levels can lead to enhanced muscle function and performance. The simple act of maintaining optimal Vitamin D levels similarly supports the production of testosterone, a hormone crucial for promoting muscle protein synthesis.

Our daily greens are naturally rich in Vitamin D, and we have added 500% of your recommended daily.

GLUTATHIONE

Glutathione is an extremely powerful antioxidant that is found in every cell in the body, and we produce it in our liver. So pretty important.

It is actually produced by the liver. It plays a myriad of roles, but most saliently here, it is part of the process of making DNA, proteins and healthy cells. So, without Glutathione is an essential part of our body’s ability to repair and grow cells – specifically joints and muscles.

The addition of this amino acid to your daily routine will hugely support your recovery and muscle growth. If you are hitting the gym, you will absolutely notice the difference.

Our greens contains 125mgs of Glutathione per serving.

COQ10

COQ10 has been found to help reduce muscle damage and oxidative stress for high performing athletes.

Irregularities in mitochondrial function will drastically reduce muscular energy, which in turn hampers the efficiency of our muscle contractions and endurance during challenging physical activity. There are some studies which show Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) as having promise for enhancing exercise performance by mitigating cellular oxidative stress and optimising mitochondrial function.

A research study uncovered that the supplementation of CoQ10 potentially played a role in suppressing oxidative stress and indicators of muscle and liver damage among adolescent elite swimmers during their competitive phase. [source].

Joints & Bones

GLUTATHIONE

Another benefit of Glutathione; just when you thought it couldn’t be any better. There is strong evidence that Glutathione can play an essential role in protecting the joints from cartilage degradation and inflammation, therefore, potentially holding off (or even preventing) degenerative conditions like Arthritis [source].

Our greens contains 125mgs of Glutathione per serving.

VITAMINS D3 & K2 – AND CALCIUM

As you may already know, Calcium is an essential building block of a strong and healthy bones. While collagen creates the structure of bones, it is too flexible and malleable, so calcium crystals are drawn from the blood to solidify the structures.

Our greens contain a base dose of calcium, thanks to it’s Spirulina and Chlorella content, and we’ve added two vitamins which are essential for the formation of healthy bones: D3 and K2.

Vitamin D3 helps the absorption of calcium into the blood and K2 (MK-7) activates the protein, osteocalcin, which draws the calcium into the bones. [source]

MANGANESE

Manganese is an essential mineral that is found within our base mix of ultimate green powders. The body uses Manganese during the formation of connective tissues and bones; including helping the bones absorb the calcium.

metabolic energy & endurance

VITAMIN C, B12 & B6

Vitamin B12 has numerous functions within our body, but the most well-known benefit of b12 is how it can provide metabolic energy. It does this in multiple ways – firstly, B12 plays a key role in blood cell health; a deficiency can increase blood cell division creating abnormally large cells. The vitamin also plays a key role in ensuring that glucose and carbohydrates are transported from the blood into our cells.

B6, similarly, plays a role in healthy blood and haemoglobin production. Both are key to transporting oxygen and energy throughout the body.

Vitamins C, B6 and B12 each contribute to contribute to normal cellular energy production and metabolism.

 L – THEANINE

L-theanine is an amino acid found mostly in green and black tea, and some mushrooms. It is  a nootropic, meaning it is a great supplement to improve cognitive function and focus. Mostly, it is used as an alternative to caffeine as it can give us an extra surge in cognitive energy [source].

Magnesium is similarly essential within the formation of ATP, which is a molecule used for energy storage and regulating muscle cell processing. This means you can go harder, for longer.

SLEEP & RECOVERY

There is absolutely nothing more beneficial to our well-being than a good night of sleep. It is when our body repairs, rests and resets for the next day. Sleep dysfunction has a dramatic trickle-down impact on every aspect of our lives; from mood and brain health, to digestion, energy levels and homeostasis.

Without enough sleep, we are putting ourselves at serious risk of debilitating poor health.

MAGNESIUM L-THERONATE

Magnesium in general, but Magnesium L-Theronate specifically, play a fundamental role in the production of neurotransmitters in the brain. The very same neurotransmitters (GABA and dopamine) which help us fall asleep, and regulate our REM sleep cycle.

Low, or deficient, levels of Magnesium in our body is closely linked with conditions such as insomnia, and poor sleep quality.

Our daily greens contain over 500mgs of Magnesium, which is more than enough to ensure that your body’s Magnesium levels are topped up.

VITAMIN D3

Vitamin D3 is a superstar in our greens. It does a lot of heavy lifting. There are several studies which link a deficiency of D vitamins with poor quality sleep [source]

The link comes from Vitamin Ds role in the production of nurotransmittors (like Melatonin) which help us fall asleep and regulate our healthy sleeping cycles.

L-THEANINE

L-theanine is an amino acid found mostly in green and black tea, and some mushrooms. It has show potential as an anxiolytic and nootropic, meaning it is a great supplement to improve cognitive function. Mostly, it is used as an alternative to caffiene. A dose of L-Theanine before bed may actually support improved sleep quality through anxiolysis (reduction of anxiety), rather than sedation [source].

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C is an essential antioxidant which plays a key role in our body’s ability to defend itself, but also the healthy repair of cells. When we exercise, our muscle fibres break down and become damaged. The process of repair is what makes our muscles stronger, bigger and more resilient vitamin C plays a key role in this process.

Our Ultimate greens contains Acerola Cherry [source]  which is a natural source of complex vitamin C.

stress & tension

L-THEANINE

L-theanine is an amino acid found mostly in green and black tea, and some mushrooms. It has show potential as an anxiolytic and nootropic, meaning it is a great supplement to improve cognitive function. Mostly, it is used as an alternative to caffeine. A dose of L-Theanine before bed may actually support improved sleep quality through anxiolysis (reduction of anxiety), rather than sedation [source].

HEART & CARDIOVASCULAR HEALTH

Several of the added ingredients are specifically targeted to support heart and cardiovascular health – this is key for high performing atheletes and a performance lead lifestyle. Cordycepts are used to improve lung capacity and cardiovascular health [source]. CoQ10 is a powerful antioxident with cardiovascular benefits too.

gut health & biome

Our gut is a delicate and sophisticated system that is often overlooked for our health. It is where our body absorbs all of its nutrition and is on the front line of our body’s defence; a weakened or poor gut can wreak havoc on our well-being.

FIBRE

A green powder mix is a naturally good soluble and insoluble fibre source. Insoluble fibre is fibre that is not easily absorbed by the gut, helping our intestines to hydrate and move waste, keeping us regular.

Soluble fibre is more easily absorbed into the gut and may help to lower total blood cholesterol levels by lowering low-density lipoprotein.

VITAMIN C

Our gut is the front lone of defence from microbes and viruses, so it means that our immune system needs to be at the top of it’s game. It has also been found in recent studies that a regular supplement of Vitamin C is proven to support the good bacteria in our guts [source]. This healthy bacteria helps with the digestion process (specifically sugars) and helps our gut defend from harmful microbes and toxins.

Vitamin C really is an amazing substance. Our greens contain natural vitamin C in the form of Acerola Cherry.

MAGNESIUM

Magnesium plays several roles in the gut – firstly, it is an electrolyte so improves our gut’s absorption of water and increases hydration.

It has also been found to help reduce inflammation in the gut and relax the muscles in our gut. Magnesium Citrate is used to help reduce the symptoms of gastroenterological irritation (like diarrhoea).

Other, less easily absorbed, forms of magnesium (such as Magnesium Oxide) are also found to act in a similar way to insoluble fibre and support our gut healthy by giving our git a good work out. It is why consuming soluble and insoluble magnesium compounds together is preferable.

IRON

This essential mineral is needed by every life form on earth, and for humans, it is essentially essential for ensuring our blood and immune system are functioning correctly. A deficiency can leave us vulnerable to infection and invaders. While more research is needed, there is a link between Iron deficiency and increased levels of gastrointestinal infection – meaning Iron is needed to help protect our guts from harmful invaders [source].

GINGER

Ginger is a tremendously versatile root and its benefits extend well beyond improving gut health. Ginger’s role in the gut makes it a great natural remedy for nausea and gut irritation.

Ginger soothes gut inflammation at bay and soothe the gut which creates a much safer environment for our healthy gut biome [source]
